The Littlest Little Ripper
Winter is in full swing and we have been busy working and shredding. I am Mikey Valach , Manager of the Mountain Adventure Center at Snowshoe. I started skiing at Snowshoe at two years old. My Daughter, Ahna had to show up her daddy and start snowboarding at 15 months old. She is a little ripper. Ahna loves the snow and riding her little Burton Chicket. Ahna loves calling Snow Country home. She's looking forward to her next shred session in the near future, so watch out for the little Snow Monster.

Introducing the First Person Video Series; Ride With Our Terrain Crew
We have been wandering around the mountain lending out our Flip camera to employees who want to show us, and you, a taste of what a day in their shoes is like. We will begin with snow-focused jobs and then branch out to all parts of the mountain.
First up, ride with our Terrain Park Crew as they cruise around the basin. All in a day’s work, huh guys?
Be on the look out for our next installment…Ski Patrol. Follow a group of patrollers while they do some morning chores ensuring everything is in tip-top shape for us.
Until next time!
Grooming Shay's Revenge
1.5 miles, 1500 feet of vertical drop, and me in a groomer for the first time = AMAZING!
Ed and I have been working on some new shows for Snowshoe TV. Mainly, we want to give people a look at the behind the scenes side of Snowshoe. How do we make snow? Who are the people doing it? And now we’re beginning production on an inside look at grooming.
At Snowshoe the longest, steepest, and most challenging trail is Shay’s Revenge. It has beautiful views overlooking the valley, bumps for days, and a pitch that makes grooming more than a little challenging.
